WELCOME TO DANCE THEATRE ARTS GROUP

Dance Theatre Arts Group offer performing arts classes to children of all ages and abilities and endeavour to provide a safe and positive environment for our students so that they can reach their full potential, have fun and make new friends.

Classes are held at venues in Horrnchurch, Romford and South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. All our teachers are fully trained in their chosen genre and are CRB checked. There is a qualified First Aider on site.

We offer a variety of classes for children aged 2 years upwards.

Melody Movement® Classes for children aged 2-6 years

Our Foundation children follow the Melody Movement® Early Learning syllabi which include classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern. All classes are centred around a dancing teddy called Melody Bear® and introduce the children to early dance moves as well as building self-expression and confidence.

DanceTechnique Classes for children aged 6 years upwards

Classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern work on developing technique, co-ordination, posture, and discipline. All children have the opportunity to take the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) examinations.

Theatre Classes for children aged 7 years upwards

Classes in Musical Theatre, Jazz and Drama work on developing the student's performance and theatre skills by using a wide range of techniques. They also aim to build creativity, confidence and team work.
