WELCOME TO DANCE THEATRE ARTS GROUP
Originally called Mini Dance and Movement the school was founded by Charlotte Higgs AISTD, DDI in September 2009. Initially two dance and movement classes for the under 5's were introduced at Kidspace in Romford, Essex. During the next year, with the number of pupils rapidly increasing, further venues were added enabling Charlotte to expand the school to include older children and thus Dance Theatre Arts Group was born. Today the school offers a variiety of classes to students aged 2 to 18 years. All staff are CRB checked and qualified in their chosen genres. There is a First Aider on site.

The under fives follow the Melody Movement® Early Learning syllabuses which are centred around a dancing teddy called Melody Bear® and introduce them to early dance moves as well as building self-expression and confidence.
Classes in Ballet and Modern work on developing technique, co-ordination, posture, and discipline. All children have the opportunity to enter the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) examinations.
Classes in Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz dance and Drama work on developing the student's performance and theatre skills by using a wide range of techniques. They also aim to build creativity, confidence and team work.
