PRINCIPAL
Charlotte started dancing at the age of 3 years. She attended the Laura Faulkner School of Dance in Romford, Essex. She continued her training at the Urdang Academy, one of the top vocational colleges, in Covent Garden, London where she graduated with a Diploma in Professional Dance & Musical Theatre as well as gaining an Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) teaching qualification. She was also the overall winner in the college's annual choreographic competition.
After leaving college Charlotte has worked as a dancer, singer, choreographer and entertainer in hotels abroad. She later worked as an entertainer and dance teacher on board Princess Cruise ships performing to audiences of all ages. Charlotte also has considerable theatre and choreographic experience in shows such as Anything Goes, Broadway Revue and Global Spirit.
In between performance contracts Charlotte taught in a number of dance schools across Essex. Her techniques include Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Drama, Singing, Musical Theatre and Line Dancing. In 2009 Charlotte set up Mini Dance and Movement offering classes to the under five's using the popular Melody Movement® Early Learning syllabi. Over the next year with the number of pupils rapidly increasing Charlotte was able to expand the school to include older children and thus the Dance Theatre Arts Group was born. Charlotte is a fully qualified member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) a globally recognised examination board. CRB checked and a qualified First Aider.
DANCE AND DRAMA TEACHER
Chloe Drew started dancing at the age of three years and attended the Laura Faulkner School of Dance in Romford, Essex. She performed to audiences from an early age in the regular school shows. During this time she also took additional singing and acting lessons at Colins Performing Arts Group, Romford, Essex. After leaving school she continued her training at the Italia Conti School of Performing Arts in London gaining a Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. Her techniques include ballet, jazz, tap, modern, theatre dance, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, singing and drama.
Whilst attending the Colins classes Chloe auditioned for the West End production of Les Miserables and subsequently landed the part of Cosette performing to audiences at the Palace Theatre for more than two years. Chloe's other performance experience includes shows such as Stepping Out, Legends, Made to Move and Heroes and Villians. Since leaving the Italia Conti Chloe has focused on her teaching career.
