WELCOME TO DANCE THEATRE ARTS GROUP

Originally called Mini Dance and Movement the school was founded by Charlotte Higgs AISTD, DDI in September 2009. Initially two dance and movement classes for the under 5's were introduced at Kidspace in Romford, Essex. During the next year, with the number of pupils rapidly increasing, further venues were added enabling Charlotte to expand the school to include older children and thus Dance Theatre Arts Group was born.

Today the school offers performing arts classes in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Drama, Jazz and Musical Theatre to children of all ages and abilities and endeavour to provide a safe and positive environment for our students so that they can reach their full potential, have fun and make new friends. All our teachers are CRB checked and there is a First Aider on site.

Classes in Ballet and Modern work on developing technique, co-ordination, posture, and discipline. All children have the opportunity to enter the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) examinations.

Classes in Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz dance and Drama work on developing the student's performance and theatre skills by using a wide range of techniques. They also aim to build creativity, confidence and team work.
